#12DaysOfBabyGuy: The Sequel. DAY TWELVE.

So, this contest has come to an end.  I hope you’ve all enjoyed #12DaysOfBabyGuy:  The Sequel, and I hope you’ll all be around for things I have in-store in 2013.  I’ve got a LOT going on right now that I’ve not been public about, but when I can share I will.  Speaking of sharing, let me share today’s prizes.

Sharing could be today’s motto, but it’s definitely the motto that pediped lives by.  Shoes and baby clothes aren’t really my area, but this year I was fortunate enough to have dinner with the pediped gang at ABC Kids Expo.  I always knew their shoes were cute, well-made, and have memory foam insoles that I am VERY VERY jealous of—what I didn’t know about was their philanthropic work.  In the eight years that pediped has been in existence, they’ve donated $1.7 MILLION worth of product and financial support to children in need (this includes over 445,000 to Make-A-Wish Foundation and 2,000 pairs of shoes to children in Haiti).  Making sure children have a great start, and great shoes, is so important to pediped that they actually began the pediped foundation in 2010.  The operating costs of the pediped foundation are actually covered by pediped management and employees, which ensures that 100% of funds raised by the foundation go to children who need them.  The food at dinner was wonderful, but what I learned about the brand and the friendships I made trump that.  Friends I will continue to support as I can.  Strong work, pediped.  Strong.  Work.  Today’s winner will receive a $200 gift card to pediped’s online store.  Psssst, moms:  they’re launching a line of women’s shoes next year.  Brian James Footwear.  You’ve been warned.  You’ll be comfortable.

Sharing is a wonderful thing for kids to learn, and another way to do this is with SparkBox.  You can think of SparkBox as Netflix for toys.  Working with the absolute TOP brands in the juvenile toy industry (Plan, Tegu, Melissa and Doug, ALEX, and many more), SparkBox sends a box of age-appropriate toys to your door for your kids to enjoy.  They’re safety-inspected, sterilized, and ready for the kiddos to enjoy.  When you’re finished, box them up and send them back—and then you’ll get a new box.  It’s a really cool idea I was actually completely unaware of until recently (toys aren’t really my main focus), but I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to share this with you guys.  The winner of today’s package will receive a 4-month subscription to SparkBox worth $79.

I know you’ll probably have your own toys at home, and if you’ve been following this contest you should be familiar with Swoop Bags.  Constructed of high-quality (and colorful!) canvas, this is a play mat that actually transforms into a storage bag simply by pulling on built-in drawstring cords.  They’re a terrific idea, and can also encourage kids to pick up their own disast—I mean, MESS—and contain it.  The winner receives a Swoop Mini—ideal for smaller toys—worth $24.

If you’ve been following me at all, or have ever been to my site (actually, you’re on it right now–nevermind), you’ve noticed I am a HUGE FAN of Magic Beans.  I love what they do, I love how they do it, I love that they’ve become my “family away from family.”  When I first began working retail at the BigBoxBaby store, I stumbled upon the Magic Beans blog, Spilling the Beans, and realized that baby gear could be fun—that you could be wacky with it and still be informative.  I fully credit them with getting me interested in this industry and continuing to be a source of information, guidance, laughs, friendship, and spectacular food as I forge whatever path this is that I am currently on… Magic Beans is going to give the winner of today’s package a kickboard USA micro mini 3-in-1 scooter.  Suitable from 1-5 years, this scooter  morphs from a seat they “scoot” on through a scooter they can cruise about on, and it retails for $114.99.  Want some other loot from Magic Beans?  They’re also throwing in a $50 gift card.  Shop small biz, kids.  It’s important.

Maclaren is more than a stroller manufacturer.  They also make many stroller accessories that are actually compatible with other brands—regardless of the stroller you have.  I saw these products when I was visiting their showroom in SoHo in NYC, and they’re wicked cute.   Featuring a two-sided design (one with a map design with landmarks all over it, the other with Beg Ben embroidered in the corner), their Reversible Buggy Blanket is warm and great for trendy and well-traveled tots (or those who just want to be).  Their Reversible Seat Liner is also multi-stroller-compatible, and features the same great London design features.  Throw in the bright Luggage Tag, and you’ve got the City Centre Style Set which retails for $60 if you purchase in their online store (a savings of $20).

I am not sure what stroller you’re going to use in your day-to-day life but you’re gonna need to keep it clean.  So you’re going to receive the BuggyLOVE Stroller Cleaning Kit.  They’ve given the winner of EVERY STROLLER given out during this contest one of their wonderful kits.  You guys rock.  You’re gonna love this stuff.  The BuggyLOVE Stroller Cleaning Kit Retails for $49.99.

I’m also a big fan of Clek.  Their booster seats are top-of-the-line in terms of quality and comfort, not to mention the fact that they use LATCH so your booster seats don’t slide all over your backseat when not in-use.  These are booster seats that kids will NOT be embarrassed to sit in, which means they’ll sit in them longer—and that’s a very good thing 😉  Clek is donating an Olli Backless Booster to the winner.  So go pick out which style you want if you win this 😉  OH, and look for my review of the Foonf soon….I am just sayin….

This brings the package of today’s prizes to just over $700.  I truly hope you’ve all had a great time with this contest, and I look forward to the future with you guys.

Oh.  That’s not all.  As if.  Once I am back in NYC in January, the winner will receive a special holiday stocking.  FROM ME.  I am not sure what it’s going to be yet, but IT IS CERTAINLY NOT GOING TO SUCK, I can promise you that.  Could be a baby carrier, could be a stroller, could be a bag of random baby things–could be COMPLETELY NOT BABY-RELATED….who knows???  I wanted this last gift to be different and a bit special–something from ME—and I thought this would keep you guessing 😉  If it is a product, my ONLY stipulation with this one is that I want YOU to review it for ME.  Use it for a bit—send me your thoughts and a pic and I’ll feature it on my site and properly pimp it out 😉   And if you live in NYC, I’ll deliver it to you myself…..if you live elsewhere, if you want to fly me to your house you’ll get the same treatment 😉

And THAT takes the total of this prize package to ?????????????????????????

Go enter now.  And if you win something you don’t need or want, please consider donating to a shelter or charity.
